Training Programs

Workplace culture doesn't improve by accident. It improves when the right people have the right knowledge — and the confidence to act on it.

Culture Matters offers a growing suite of online training programs designed for board members, HR professionals, managers and organisational leaders working in the NFP, higher education, healthcare and government sectors.

Each program is developed and delivered by Jessica Kerr — an employment lawyer and specialist practitioner with over 15 years of experience in workplace investigations, cultural reviews and complaints handling. The content is grounded in real practice, not theory. It is practical, plain-language and immediately applicable.

All programs are self-paced. Work through them when it suits you, revisit any module at any time, and keep the resources forever.

Who is the training for?

Culture Matters training programs are designed for professionals who take workplace culture seriously and want to be better equipped for the moments that matter most.

Current programs are particularly relevant for board members and chairs navigating governance responsibilities around complaints and investigations, HR and people and culture professionals building their capability in sensitive and complex matters, managers who want to understand their obligations and handle difficult situations with confidence, and student safety and conduct teams in universities and TAFEs building investigative capability.

If you are looking for training tailored specifically to your organisation — delivered in-house, online or in person — please get in touch to discuss a custom program.

Practical content

Every program is developed from real practice. The scenarios, frameworks and tools in each course come directly from Jessica's work conducting investigations, reviewing complaints processes and supporting organisations through complex workplace matters.

The content is trauma-informed and grounded in procedural fairness — reflecting the same standards Jessica applies in her consulting work

Training Format

Programs are designed to be completed in a single sitting or across several sessions — whatever works for you. There are no deadlines, no expiry dates and no subscriptions. You pay once and the content is yours. As programs are developed by a practitioner who is actively working in this space, the content stays current. As legislation, sector standards and best practice evolve, so does the training.
